Greg gives us a smile

Behind him is Isabelle Mercier, who has moved to John Kalmar and Surinder Sunar's table down in the basement.

Another dominating stack is created

Jimmy Won appears calm as the dealer pushes a 40,000 chip pot to him. After some heavy raising preflop his opponent moves all in with AK. Jimmy thinks for a minute before deciding his pair of eights is good enough to gamble on. He's not crippled if he loses and has a lot committed already.

The board ends up:

46910 and the river 7 to give Jimmy the straight and 70,000 chips in front of him. He has Greg Amoils on his right and, thanks Jen, that was Iwan Jones he knocked out I hear.

Emergency

We're at level 9 with 99 players left. Ram is no-where to be seen and hasn't been spotted by anyone for quite some time....

The blinds are 400/800 with a 100 running ante.

Some counts:

Brigitta Johanseen: 18,500
Josh Dorby: 22,000
Noah Boeken, having just called Simon Trumper's all-in with KQ, Simon showing pocket Jacks, King and Queen coming on the flop - 45,000
Paul Moss: 35,000
Joep Durkstra: 50,000
Isabelle Mercier: 27,000
Padraig Parkinson: Out

Isabelle and Noah's table has been broken following Simon and Padraig's eliminations.

Ben Grundy in trouble

He's now down to less than 10,000. Don O'Dea's stack is looking formidable and he's got his arms wrapped around it as if to say that no-one is going to take it from him.

(Saturday, 29 October 2005 at 10:43 pm)

And on the opposite table Andy Black is kicking up a fuss

The mild mannered Irishman has a problem, he's too many chips and wants to know when they'll be coloured up. He's got over 60,000.

It would make an interesting feature table

Isabelle, Simon and Noah at one end, Padraig is at the other. Isabelle has 17,000, Simon 15 and Noah close to 40,000. Padraig is pretty much down to the felt however after his early promising start.

Better than Brunson

Don O'Dea puts a beat on Ben Grundy with 10,3 and is up to 31,000. Ben is still in decent shape though with 22K or so.

(Saturday, 29 October 2005 at 10:12 pm)

Dave Colclough out

Kevin O'Connell has been moved to John Kalmar and Surinder Sunar's table. Kevin has around 10,000, Surinder has made some progress and has a bit more than double that.

Barny very unhappy with the behaviour of the TV crew

A while back when Barny was still going very strong and was among the chip leaders with about 50,000 in front of him, he saw a flop of 3 clubs and immediately pushed all in. His opponent with 20,000+ of him went to push his chips forwad to call, as Barny very much wanted him to do, and as he was doing so was ordered to stop by one of the members of the TV crew so the cameras could be brought over to record the action.

Now that the adrenaline was subsiding and he had time to consider, and probably not wanting to risk looking foolish in front of the now present cameras, the player thought about it and now decided to pass. Had Barny got the call he wanted and his hand stood up he would probably have been chip leader at that point.

Players are made to sign release forms to allow TV companies to use their recordings of the their performances for whatever they please. Barny says it's time that TV companies were made to agree not to interfere in tournaments before they are allowed to record them.

Chip Leader?

Richard Redmond is on 65,000, we'll try and get a picture up shortly but in the meantime Ross has gone the same way as his brother Barny, out with pocket kings in a three way pot. We think John Kalmar knocked him out but are not quite sure.

(Saturday, 29 October 2005 at 9:42 pm)

4 more Brits out

Steve Vladar and Xuyen Pham both went out before the break and Barny joins them.

With a short stack now he picks up pocket kings and pushes all in preflop. He's called by A, 10. "Bye guys" he says and is out of his seat well before the flop brings both an ace and a 10.

Julian Thew is apparently out also.
